Sky people were supposed to come on Wednesday and nodoy has shown up

Really REALLY annoyed about this. Nobody turned up on Wednesday, people (Open Reach?) turned up on Thursday and did some digging and drilling outside. Thery said they'd tell Sky and someone would be out to finish the installation. Not a word since.

Also, there is no chance of being able to actually speak to a person at Sky. Can someone please give me a phone number where I can speak to someone who can sort this out and get my service (that I've already paid a fortune for) set up, and to complain to about the appalling customer service?

Any help appreciated.

@BriBri1 openreach are unrelated to Sky, they are the company that operate and own the UK phone network and unfortunately Sky has no control over them.

Indeed once openreach has completed a visit they have 48 hours to update Sky on the progress of the work/installation and often utilise all the time.

you will need to call Sky to ask them what the last update was that openreach provided. If they need to come back for a follow visit I'd be surprised it if wasn't early in the New Year now.

You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number. If you are in the ROI on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

note that the Sky call centres are open over the festive period but are operating reduced opening hours  today, tomorrow and on Boxing Day so lines will likely be busier.

@BriBri1

Unfortunately with outside work only carried out on Thursday Dec 21st (snd presumably reported to Sky on Friday 22nd) there's essentially no chance of getting any further attention until Wednesday 27th at the earliest, which is the next Openreach working day for domestic broadband.  Given there's then another holiday weekend and Bank Holiday, plus inevitable seasonal workforce shortages, bad weather and limited daylight hours, this really is the worst possible time of year to get such things done.
