Called sky on the 21st dec to give them my notice to cancel their services, they cut my broadband off at 1am the next day. They've accepted they've done something wrong but are telling me there's no way to reconnect until after Xmas. Does anyone know if there's a way around this? Didn't think this would even be possible considering they supposedly require a minimum of 14 days notice. So frustrating going into the Xmas break when we're all at home and wanting to use the service more so than ever.

Unfortunately there's almost certainly no way to reactivate a service within any reasonable timeframe. Personally, while shops are still open, I'd suggest sourcing a cellular hotspot and data SIM, the cost of which should largely be covered by subsequent compensation.

Thanks for the reply. I've stuck an unlimited data sim in an old phone and am trying to use that as a hotspot but it's a faff and isn't going to help me stream Netflix and the like on my tv. I'm worried to pay out for anything more because I'm not convinced sky will compensate me. Crazy that they can just cut you off with a click with no going back.
