Re: Sky internet going off tried restarting the hub but still goes off
@Daintonjdeacon1 Can you please run the broadband test, this can be done either via the Sky app on mobile data or use the link below.

If it finds an external fault it should enable you to book an engineer.
If you have found this solution helpful please tick this as the answer.

They now don't allow u to report any problems of when u test the connection it's fine at the time. They really are the lowest of the low. I can't wait til they're bust.

Why do you say so? In the app, when you test your connection, it is saying clear, that it is a problem in region with the broadband, you have nothing to do as it is reported automatically.
Even so, if you take a better look, in app, your connection is tested automatically by the sky in order to detect problems.
3 years I am with sky and this is the first line down. The most stable network and service in the whole country.
Even this situation is handled good by the company I can say. You have nothing to report as is detected automatically and they are already working on it.

Re: Sky internet going off tried restarting the hub but still goes off
@Chiril the app can report if there is a known area issue. In many cases the issue is a fault on an individual line or perhaps an area issue that hasn't been reported so far, in these cases you have to call Sky so they can get something done.
Most faults are not directly down to Sky as the most vulnerable part is the Openreach network from the exchange to the customers home. As you say Sky broadband is normally pretty reliable but at any one time if only 0.1% of Sky's 6 million broadband customers have an issue that is 6,000 people which is why there is a thread like this pretty much everyday.
Sky lines are classed as domestic for which Openreach give a 2 working day SLA using the line for working from home doesnt change that. They fix 80% of faults within that limit and pay compensation on the balance.
