Sky called but hung up

Hi, I have an appointment for the installation of broadband by engineers on April 2.

 

This morning I received a call from the number 0800 761 3372, he said it was from Sky and he saw that I got the internet from them and then he hung up.

 

I have no way to call back and I'm afraid he called to confirm the engineers' visit in 5 days. I'm worried that because of this the visit won't take place and I've been waiting for a long time.

You'll need to call Sky to confirm the reason for the call (if it was indeed Sky, as even that genuine number can be spoofed).


To call Sky dial 150 (free) from a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile. Alternatively use this link…

But do you think they called to confirm the visit? Or do they confirm it in another way by sending a text message or calling a day in advance and not 5 days in advance like in this case

This seems a strange thing to say.

 

We can't say for sure if this was them or if it was why they are calling which is why you will need to call them if you want to find out for sure.
