Sky broadband and tv down

Have reset the WiFi box and have turned off at the mains for both tv and router but still keeps cutting out on phones and tv apps

The first thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker


If there isn't try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start


You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.


After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.


If this is of no help give Sky a call to report it to them.

It looks as though it may have been the global AWS issue thats caused it.

Same here. My whole broadband/WiFi is down. Everything showing red on mysky app, tried restarting and following instructions and nothing worked.

Extremely unlikely: there was absolutely no indication that posts increased during that period.  Websites and other resources accessed over broadband from all ISPs were of course affected, but that's different.

 

Sky is the ISP for over five million addresses in the UK: this scale of operation means at any particular point in time there will be thousands of individual Openreach circuit failures impacting Sky Broadband subscribers.

Thanks for your thoughts. We were using Amazon at the time so yes we were affected but we were also having tv and broadband issues which may have been caused by something else.
