Sky WiFi keeps dropping in and out

Only had Sky wifi for a month or 2 and it keeps dropping out and then reconnecting, looking to replace Sky Hub with a Asus Tuf - AX6000. Used to have Virgin Media which i could put into modem only mode and use a 3rd party router and had no issues at all with this method, obivously I know I cant do this with Sky. Im not very technically minded when it comes to PC's , is it straight forward if i get the AX6000? is it a case of plug it in and a way I go or do i need to change settings? if so which ones TIA

Should be straightforward

Update the asus via etherneting tn the sky  hua until it doesn't update anymore

Remove sky hub and ethernet asus to ont

Locate field called client ientifier (option 61) and type

Could you post your hub stats to see if its an external fault

Also if you have fttc superfast you will need a modem bridge
