Could be a silly question but I am scheduled to have my Sky broadband switched moved to my new house on Wednesday but we haven't fully moved out of our current flat. The advisor told me that the broadband in my flat will be turned off until it is set up in the new home. My question is, is this the normal process? I explainned on the phone to the advisor that I work from home and I need to the Wi-Fi working but he said that this is the correct process. I am still paying for the broadband so surely I would be able to use it even in the middle of a home move? Any feedback would be great 🙂

You cannot have a broadband connection at two addresses on a single subscription, because the ISP would be incurring two costs.
Typically end of service at the address being vacated and activation at the new address would be on the same day, but that's not always possible.

Thanks for your response! Would it be worth giving them a call back to see if there is anything that can be done?

Realistically there's nothing an ISP can do: the actual process is carried out by Openreach (or their equivalent in RoI)
