Re: Setting up asus dsl-ax82u
Depending on your broadband type, eg: superfast VDSL or FTTP the WAN type should be configured accordingly for superfast VDSL 'DSL' WAN type in the options box and DSL cable connected to the telephone socket. For FTTP with an ONT, it should be set to WAN and an ethernet connection should be used to connect to the ONT, and the VLAN should be unset.
It looks like you have the WAN type set to ethernet currently, so that needs changing to DSL.

Re: Setting up asus dsl-ax82u
Sorry a couple of pictures didn't post
I have an ont, where do I need to change from ethernet to wan?
Also I do plug the ethernet cable into the wan socket and not one of the 4 ports don't I? Sorry I'm not very technical!
Thanks for the response!

Re: Setting up asus dsl-ax82u
You need to set the operation mode of the asus to wireless router mode to take the dsl modem in the asus out of the equation
Plug the ethernet from the ont into the blue wan ethernet port
This may remove client identifier option field but we'll cross that bridge when it comes

Re: Setting up asus dsl-ax82u
Also with fttp in the uk there is no vlan id. So remove 101 and untick vlan id
