Service Checker/Speed to your hub

Last checked: 12th Apr 16.9Mb/s (What I expect perfectly fine) .

My problem comes today 16th Apr, after having had bad weather (hail/thunder) I have ran multiple service checks as my internet is being slow. It is refusing to update the 'last checked to today' and the speed to my hub I am recieving is 3.8Mb/s. The worst part is the service checker is telling me your broadband looks good when my Guaranteed download speed is

13.9Mb/s

Currently Im experiencing download speeds of 500Kb/s (I am connected via ethernet). Usually in the past when I have had similar problems the service checker has picked it up and recommended to book an engineer and the problem is soon solved however I am worried this time as no problems are being detected by the service checker, yet im experiencing very slow speeds

(Yes I have tried all the go to methods, rebooting the hub, making sure its all set up correctly etc.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Julian3410 there are numerous similar issues due to the heavy rain causing havoc with the copper phone network. If the online checker isnt offering a check this morning then call Sky - it will take a while to get through due to the volume of issues - they will check the line for you and should raise a fault with Openreach who are again very busy but they should see if there is anything they can do other then let the line dry out.

Hopefully once you get full fibre these issues will be far less as fibre is not affected by a few inches of rain.
