Had a couple of calls yesterday from numbers starting 07393 1st was a missed call second came up as spam when it rang lady said I am from Sky ended the call looked the number up reported as a scam 4 times in 3 hours so blocked it and reported

My question is any number starting 07393 anything to do with Sky ?

Why would a legitimate Sky call originate (apparently) from a Vodafone mobile number?

Re: Scam calls

@Mt52015 the number shown in your phone is not necessarily the number that called you as it is very easy to "spoof" a false number. This is something Ofcom are trying to sort but there are good reasons why the facility to show a different number exists for example a company makes an out bound call from an unlisted number assigned to a membervof staff but spoofs it's public number which is staffed to take incoming calls.

Never trust the number your phone shows as for example scammers will make the system display your bank's fraud number but be calling from overseas.
