Recently had a fibre optic cable and main phone socket fitted. Wifi has not worked since.

I recently had the fibre optic cable upgrade and phone socket fitted. My wifi has not worked since.

I have tried everything, SKY even sent me a new hub.

I tried to access the hub settings and it won't accept my details, username and password.

My phone is a Motorola g54 android.

No other mobile phones will connect to wifi either.

Sky sent me a 4.2 hub.

It took a while to get my SkyQ box, multiroom box, and internet radio to work after the fibre upgrade.

I had to buy a new phone to plug into the hub as my old phone didn't work, Sky didn't mention that when they offered the upgrade.

@Ade39 The new main phone socket see no need for that as you are now on a Digital Full Fibre connection if that is what you had done, part fibre and full fibre are different. Although the phone on digital connection now plugs into the back off that sky broadband hub they may not always work but not found one yet that does not but it can take 24-48hrs for the changeover to be fully applied!

Yes, only using the new fibre optic socket on the wall, not the old copper wire and socket.

Phone plugs into the hub.

It's been nearly four weeks since the upgrade. I have been through all the settings on my PC and trying to acess the settings in the hub.

It's like the engineer changed my password so I can't access anything when he fitted the new fibre cable and socket.

@Ade39 How are you trying to access the settings. changing to Fibre does nothing to the hub or the password, web interface to the hub will not have changed, If the password was changed before and has been reset, then what is on the sky Broadband Hub Label or the card is now the active one!

I go through the Control Panel on my PC, and Device Manager. I have uninstalled the wifi driver and restarted my PC. I use the new hub password to try to access the hub settings. Running out of ideas and patience.

@Ade39  Apple Mac user here, long time since I've had a PC, but surely deleting the wifi driver from within Device Manager will mean the card wont function at all! Unless you have your PC connected by ethernet cable, you wont have any network access on your PC at all.

Happy to be corrected by a seasoned PC user!

@Ade39 Just web manager to the Sky Broadband Hub, same way as you did to the sky Q hub, both are the same way off doing it!

http:// 192.168.0.1 without the space between the / and 1, then once required the password is inputed from your Hub or the Card supplied!
