Port opening not working

Followed the process to open 2 specific ports my residential alarm needs but Ping.eu still says they're closed, sky stream router rebooted, deleted port forwarding rules, rebooted again, readded the ports rules still no change ???

Ports will show as closed on a port checker unless there is an active service accepting connections at the end of the port. This will likely not be the case with an alarm system, so although you've opened the ports they may not show as 'open'.
