Re: PS5 IP PACKET FRAGMENTATION
I too see the message "The router you’re using might not support IP packet fragmentation" when running a connection test on PlayStation 5. I believe this may be related to Sky's implementation of MAP-T to share IPv4 addresses. I'm not sure if it is or will cause an issue though - just for that message to appear.
Interestingly, if I stick on my 3rd Party router and reboot the ONT I get a standard IPv4 and the message goes away even when swapping over to the Sky Max Hub (no ONT disconnection). If the Sky Max Hub later reboots and/or requests a new IP, then a MAP-T IP is assigned and the message returns on the PS5.

Re: PS5 IP PACKET FRAGMENTATION
Hi,
Yes we've identified some issues with fragmented packets and larger packets that need fragmentation, over our MAP-T solution.
Is this just a warning on the PS5 or is it causing any impact to playability? Usually games tend to prefer using smaller packets, which will not be fragmented, so it would mainly be large game updates that could be impacted (if I had to guess).
We are working on a fix on our side but in the meantime, if this is causing any issues, are you able to lower the interface MTU on the PS5? If so, lower it down to 1472 bytes, this should avoid packets being fragmented within our network.

Re: PS5 IP PACKET FRAGMENTATION
I tried setting the MTU to 1500, 1492, 1480, 1472 and 1440, all of which still display the message.
I can't say I've seen any issues, just a warning message.

Thanks, that's interesting. Not sure what their testing methodology is, but if you do notice an issue, try using 1472 which should prevent the need for fragmentation in our network. (but don't if you haven't noticed any problems)
