Had Sky broadband for about 6 months now, Overall there is no issues, when it is working it works perfectly fine but 3 months in, it started to randomly drop out, Internet light off and orange voice light on.
It has now got to the point where it will drop out 3 -4 times during the evening. All it requires is the purple cable to be unplugged and replugged and it always reconnects but it is not ideal having to do this. Something I have noticed is this is mainly in the evening when we are in e.g. the wifi security camera will run fine all day.
Is there any common reasons why this would occur? I've tried to research and couldn't find a working answer.
Tried to contact Sky but had no luck, will keep trying but assume I will be told everything is working fine.

G.Fast can be extremely temperamental to interference so is there anything thats changed in your setup in terms of phone socket, cabling, anything around the router? Also powerline adapters can cause issues with G.Fast.

Nothing major has changed, we did move it slightly for Christmas decorations but it's now in a clear spot and admittedly has got abit better, this evening so far it went down once but pulled the purple cable in and out and was right back on. Might sound stupid here but we have had issues with our big light wiring would something like this across the house interfere with it to knock it off potentially?

Yes quite possibly, additionally lots of extra Christmas lights on your electrical circuit could have caused issues.
Best thing you can do with G.Fast is ensure its using a socket that isnt populated by anything else & use a surge protector between the electrical socket & the router.
