Where installs require an engineer to enter your home Openreach orginally scheduled these from 1st March but as the government have not lifted the lock down as expected these have had to be further delayed. .

I've had the same happen.
They never let you know just don't turn up.
In fact open reach were booked to come through bt weeks later.
Were two hrs late after the 5 HR slot.
Went into my garage to check phone line and just walked off the job.
Never even said he was going.
Lol
Still no broadband

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Angela+Moores if you bought your broadband through Sky give them a call as they should have a report from the Openreach engineer. Suspect the engineer did a line test and found an issue. Normally they do tell the end customer what is going on out of courtsey but as Sky have placed the order they only have to tall them.

Hi,
I had a Open Reach engineer booked to come just before Christmas, but I had to reschedule due to me possibly having covid. I rescheduled for 20th January, I waited for them to arrive and no showed up. I have been an appointment of the 24th Feb, so I asked to change it to another earlier date and they gave me 28th Feb. I had already installed the external box before Christmas but I'm still getting an text from Open reach to come and install it.

Had an appointment booked for between 1pm and 6pm on the 08/08/2022 and same as previous posts had to take the day off work. Not even so much as a coutesy call to say the engineer wouldnt make the slot. Fuming I phoned sky who apologised and said they have had other customers say the same thing about openroach. I now have a rearranged appointment for today but not holding my breath the issue will be fixed and am I due compensation???
The problem is a fault with my line in my property (its behind a wall in the kitchen the issue) told them I would prefer a wrap around from the back to the front of the property for the new line they intend to install as Im not haveing them drill holes in my wall and skirtings in the kitchen.

Perhaps worth keeping in mind that the relationship between BT Group / Openreach and a large chunk of their workforce isn't exactly wonderful just now...

They didn't turn up for me on the 28th June. So Sky told me it would be the 4th August and again they didn't show up. Sky have now told me the 11th August - we will see.
It seems a bit of a coincidence they are meant to be coming every Thursday since I made the order. Not turning up once, ok it happens, but a second time? Are Openreach that unreliable....or is something going on with Sky.

This has happened to me four times now! Very poor service

Four times for me now as well.
28th July - No show
4th August - No show
11th August - No show
17th August - No show
After the 11th they didn't show up I told Sky I'd had enough and I will cancel the order, Virgin are now in my area. The guy on the phone convinced me to hold on because it will be "esculated". I was then told they were going to come on the 17th and what a surprise they didn't turn up again.
I honestly don't trust a single thing Sky say. They will never give me a reason why Openreach don't show up, they refuse to let me contact Openreach instead to find out for myself and all they do is just pull another date out the bag and think the rinse and repeat is ok.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@astracrazy Sky can't tell you anything more than Openreach tell them unfortunatelly. Openreach will not talk to you as the end customer they only communicate with their direct customer who is the ISP who each get the same level of service - bad.
Hope you find Virgin better but in terms of complaints they are way worse than Sky see https://rxtvinfo.com/2022/virgin-media-remains-top-of-ofcoms-complaints-league
