Just moved into a house that was previously owned by an old lady, there's an openreach box however there's no power cable and it's definitely not the newer ONT boxes with what looks like the small puck attached to the wall. Just wondering how I get this changed or if this will work with the full fibre gigafactory if I can find a power cable.

If it's a VDSL modem (typically Huawei brand HG612) rather than an ONT then no, it cannot work for FTTP.

What is the labelling on the LEDs?

Tel1 PORT1 LOS PON and POWER are the words above the LEDs.

I got the box off the wall and it is a HUAWEI Echolife HG8110H-20

PON or Passive Optical network does suggest and ole ont

If in the Republic of Ireland go to the bottom of the page and change the flag to Republic of Ireland
In all likliehood they'll replace the whole unit
