Max hub stuck on setting up

Hi. I have just switched to Sky today. My internet works fine, with the white status light on the router. However, the app constantly shows the Max Bub as 'setting up' so I'm unable to access settings such as changing the SSID. 

I've tried multiple ways to fix this, restarting, redownloading the app etc but to no avail. I also tried calling tech support who were unhelpful. All they advised was to go to the router settings website/interface but I can't change settings such as SSID from there, only from the app (who thought that was a good idea?). 

does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?
