@Smiler3 atually thst advice is pretty spot on. The hub produces a Wifi signal which like light can be blocked by objects near it and things like cordless phones can cause interference. All wifi routers need to be out in the open and as high as you can get them in the room so the signal is not blocked by radiators - wifi signals are totally blocked by metal.
With hard discs the storeage can get fragmented if you do not clear off files. Sky HD+ and Sky Q are pretty good at sorting themselves but getting in the habit of removing things you dont want to watch again is sensible as the system will be more reliable. Anything you definitely want to keep must be marked as such or the system will over write it usually just before you want to watch it.
A lot of technical advice sounds weird but makes sense when you understand the science behind it.😀
