Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

Just had a text from Sky cancelling engineer visit on Thursday.

"Hi, it's Sky. Sorry, your engineer visit has been cancelled due to the outage in your area. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding."

Still not working, Having to use hotspot to WFH. Solid Orange light on router against "Internet" & "Voice"

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

Ive just called sky also and apparently I need an engineer! Earliest date is Sunday - handy when we have two young people who cannot connect to any devices or t.v's.
Sky just kept telling me there is no issue in my area which is hard to believe as so many messages on here about it being out. It's ok though as they are sending me a £6 Tesco voucher for compensation!

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

I have an engineer booked for Thursday. Said something is wrong with the line in. Hopefully they resolve it - I can't even hotspot to work from home as I'm renting in Fairlight and phone signal is terrible.

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

Very confusing half of us engineers cancelled due to Sky recognising a fault in the area, and some still having engineer visits in.

Still no change here, services down but everything online (apart from here) suggesting no issues or outage

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

Now told I need an engineer, but not available until next Monday? What is this nonsense?

clearly this is not a fault that randomly occurred at loads of homes at the exact same time? What's is going on Sky?

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

Sky just wouldn't even acknowledge there is a problem, even though the service status earlier said that there is a problem! It's just so frustrating. What are the chances of all of our equipment just randomly stopping working in the same area?!
I've now got two green lights and one orange. Fingers crossed it'll comeback on as quickly as it went off as it's my sons birthday tomorrow and he has a fully digital x box!

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

Adding to this. We have rung Sky for an update. They are still not saying there is a fault, and booked me another engineer appointment... for Tuesday

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

Got a message at around 12pm saying problem was fixed. But clearly wasn't . Still no internet. Have called sky twice now - said problem has been escalated and that engineers were working on the problem but it might take 72hours!!   Hastings old town.

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

They aren't even telling us all the same thing as I was told there isn't a problem and it was my equipment/set up with the issue hence the engineer. I'm sure that'll be cancelled though based on everybody else's comments.

Re: Less than 3Mb per second, Hastings

Just been told major incident & SLA on fixing is 2 business days from yesterdays report date. But.. they have no idea if 2 days is achievable or not.
