Late installation

I move into my new property Friday 19/12, broadband isn't being installed until the following Tuesday 30/12 but I work from home and need this up and running by Monday 22/12. What are my options?

@Georgia2204 The date you have been given will be the earliest available, and given the time of year you may see that pushed back. Working from home is irrelevent as you are subscribing to a domestic only service which doesn't have any priority for quicker installations and activation(or fault repairs should any arise).

Re: Late installation

Hi Dave, thanks for your response. I'm not suggesting an earlier date as I can clearly see that this is the earliest they can do.

I am simply asking what my options are. I won't have wifi in time and need it in some shape or form, my mobile hotspot won't be strong enough to run multiple clinical systems on.

Unfortunate timing really. Like everywhere else Openreach staff will be wanting to take some annual leave too and there's obviously the bank holidays where nothing will happen. As @daveNOS has stated the date provided will be the earliest possible date in your area which is still subject to change.

Our posts crossed…

Your options appear limited to going into your workplace if you can't work at home.

Re: Late installation

Hi Daniel, thanks for your response. As I said to Dave, I'm not asking for an earlier installation.

There must be something I can buy from somewhere to supply me with wifi for as long as I need it until the broadband is installed?

Re: Late installation

Hi Daniel, apologies our posts crossed too.

I work for a fully remote company, there is no workplace for me to go into.

Sky don't offer anything like that. Perhaps see if you can go to a friend or family members address to use their connection.
