Hello has anyone seen issues with wifi constantly cutting in and out? Speed very poor. This seems to happen unless you are right next to the hub. I previously had the black hub and upgraded to the white hub but signal appears really bad in comparison.
@Techno2022 there have been similar reports but I find my Wifi Max SR213 hub has roughly the same Wifi range as the black SR203. However it did take a day or so to settle especially if you have any extender pods.
You do need to be able to use both wifi bands so if your property has solid internal walls that maybe part of the problem as the 5GHz band which provides the majority of the bandwidth is less able to penertrate solid objects tgan the lower frequency 2.4GHz band which can carry less data. A WiFi analyser app on a phone or laptop should show what is going on.
Ive got the same problem.. persuaded to change hub to new white Max one. It's pathetic. Won't transmit wi fi through walls. Currently sat 15 feet from hub in next room with door open ( if I lean sideways I can see the hub). Wi fi gone from excellent to fair .. it's a two by ed bungalow. Not thick stone walls .
They sent me a pod. Great I get excellent if i stand next to it. But walk out the door and I get poor it's rubbish...my old hub worked even in the garden
Yes...my max hub continually resets itself....I've had nothing but problems with my new SKy Max Router. My old one was fine. I've asked for it to be returned.
This is really concerning as I've just switch to sky max yesterday with the white hub.
I have noticed drop outs already but assumed it was just "settling "
how long should I wait before escalating the issue with sky?
I managed to resolve it somewhat by switching the security from WPA 3 back to 2. Still doesn't feel as good as the black router though. I'd try adjusting that setting through the my sky app first and see how you get on
Done that. WPA2 and reconnected to a router that wasn't Sky. Same problem, in fact worse! Settled down a bit now but who knows what tomorrow brings?. Something's not quite right.
