Ok no worries. Will phone them at 8am. Cheers for your help. I would say it's extremely unlikely that someone cut through a cable at just after 12pm. Given you would need a pneumatic drill to get to the cables. Far more likely some administrator has been trigger happy....

Not sure what happened exactly last week but i think the gravesend to greenhithe was cut prior to been buried

The service may come back on its own by 6am if the outage is caused by overnight maintanance but if it doesnt you can run the full connection test in the My Sky app over a mobile connection. Ignore any intial screen saying everything is fine click to test the broadband as that will tell you if Sky are aware of an outage affecting your area. If it doesnt and your line is still down when Sky's lines open from around 7am call them and report the fault.
