I had a sky max wifi router installed on the 26th of September and whilst at first it was working alright, not as fast as they'd promised, now it is struggling to keep a consistent and strong connection to my phone and laptop when out of the room the router is in. I know that sky says there is a 2 week settling period but this feels more severe than a case of slow internet. My laptop is currently unable to connect to the wifi and keeps requesting the password. Would a booster help in this scenario, and how would I go about requesting one? Thank you for the help.

Hello @AmeliaLowe , we'll get this sorted
How far away is your router from your device exactly when experiencing these issues? How many walls are inbetween you & the router? And how thick are the walls if there are any? Asking these questions to mitigate the potential of it being a signal strength issue

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@AmeliaLowe if you issue is as it sounds an issue with WiFisignal strength that should settle within 24 hours the 2 weeks refers to services over copper lines to the hub not from the hub to devices. You can get units that can extend the WiFi signal in your home. One potential solution is Sky offer matched extenders to customers who need them and buy the add-on explained here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max
Although you can buy third party extenders they will not allow devices to roam seamlessly and can cause interference issues so it is better to turn off the Sky hub's wifi and then use a third party home wifi solution instead which is how I get good wifi in every room,
On your laptop go into the network settings for your Sky hub and check you have ticked to trust this network and it should not require you to log in each time.
