Internet Outage

Three days, Two working days without internet or any tv. Sky offered £3.58 compensation which I am not even bothered about its that insignificant of an amount!

I have two children and one with additional needs who cant do anything as his tablet is down and I am registered disabled so cant take him out many places either, so naturally hes climbing the walls.

Has anyone else had the same issues taking this length of time? I appreciate as well that its most likely down to the weather but their

contingencies dont seem to be that great either as i cant be the only one?

If there are some wires down to the storm over the weekend then it might take a little while for them to be fixed due to Ipenreach being inundated with such work.

This link explains the auto compensation scheme:

Your contract states Openreach will aim to fix any faults in 2 working days, however this is an aim, not a guarantee. During periods of extreme weather like we have experienced this weekend it is expected for these fix times to be extended. If you have additional needs for internet access for yourself or children then you should make provisions for this like having a mobile data option in place to keep you going when fixed line services get damaged in extreme weather.
