Hi
Anybody having issues with internet continually dropping out ?
I been having this issue now for about a month , I ran all the checks suggested but 'All okay ' apparently .Thought the issue had sorted as all ok early part of last week , but back with a vengeance from Saturday . Tried ringing sky, but lost the Will to live holding on for someone . Emailed this morning immediate response telling me I can't do that, so here I am 😖😖😖😖😖
My feeling is it's the hub, anyone else having issues, non drinker but feel the pub calling

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreLooks like your on a fairly poor copper line, is there no fibre available at your address?
11 Jul 2023 04:02 PM
Short answer No we dont have fibre yet.
Another question , why would this copper become an issue in the last month or so , we have lived here for an awful long time and never really had any issues.
Assume until we are upgraded to fibre this is something we will have to live with ?

I think your best option would be to speak to Sky to see whether they will send an engineer to check over your line, they may find some oddities. You can either call or we can escalate your post on the forum to speak to a Sky rep.

Thanks for your help
if you could escalate that would be good 👍

Hi
as mentioned in previously posts my internet over the past month has been rather flaky. We are finding it drops from anything of a couple of minutes to a few hours , and it doesn't seem to be time based .
Looking at other peoples issue which are similar I have checked we have no scheduled functions which may cause the drop and to my knowledge there has been no scheduled works on the telephone systems
My home is in a fairly rural location , with just one property in close proximity
Not sure what other information you would require

Nothing unusal there to be honest.
for a number of years now I've been having this issue, sky have had various engineers, various routers, various ideas.
None of it really works.
What they don't tell you is how utterly shockingly poor their routers are on pretty much all levels. Don't like the fact they provide us with sub standard gear? Buy the wifi max guarantee! Ha!
I cannot wait for another service provider to appear in our area and I can finally ditch this absolute turd of a connection.
I suspect the wifi on the router is knocking things off, who can say I know sky can't. Their broadband checks check things in the immediacy, if all is well 'right now' then all is well in general is what they'd have you believe. It's not. Our connection drops so often now I just don't rely on it for anything important, I'll make a hotspot on my phone and connect via cellular - which really is amazing considering I have a supposedly perfectly good WIRED connection sitting here.
I wouldn't give sky Internet two tugs of a dead dog's reproductive organ.
