Intermittent broadband connection/speeds??

Hi folks

I seem to be having issues with my wired connection to my pc.

My Sky speed test is telling me I have a 78Mbps but I'm only getting between 8-18Mbps at my pc, which is connected via ethernet.

MY wifi connection around the house is awful anyway but I'm not happy with a wired connection like that.

My broadband package is Superfast and I'm supposed to be guaranteed 69Mbps. I think I know what skys response will be because there speed test says it's performing well.

I have the original SkyQ hub but I'm wondering whether I have any options to improve my speeds and wifi quality other than to pay sky more money for a different package??

I have disconnected all wifi items and reset the hub so its just my pc connected and the speed is awful.

I'm currently 4hrs into downloading a game update that was only 32GB in size.

Please help..

@macka09  Screenshots are always better. Can see from the stats that you had a drop 43 hours ago. On the ethernet cable that you are using how many pin outs are being used by the connectors is it 4 or 8? You should be able to see this at each end of the cable.

@macka09  You will see through the connector that only 4 or 8 pins being used. Cheap cables only use 4 pins,

@macka09  If it is only 4 pins then you are not getting the speed that you are supposed to be getting. 8 pins is what you need to get the better speed from your connection.
