I have plugged my new Sky hub in, power light is green, WiFi light is green, internet light is constantly orange. I have called Sky, reset hub numerous times and still no joy.

Did you upgrade your speed?
Were you already with sky or did you switch from another provider?
Where is your new router plugged into . A traditional openreach mastersocket or an ont?

It's plugged into a traditional OpenReach Mastersocket and I'm a new sky customer. Have checked the connection and when I spoke to an advisor on the phone I was told there were no faults on the line and my connection should be strong.

My previous address was with BT, but was in my ex's name so this has been set up brand new.

Just trying to ascertain what equipment is at your current address. Did openreach install anything like this at your new address

That is weird . You would need to call sky again
