How to remove skyshield

How do I totally remove skyshield?  The person who helps me with my tech has said it's totally slowing down my download speeds.  I have already disabled it within the app but this does not make any difference, my TV still buffers when watching via internet.

1. Sign in to Sky Broadband Shield, using your Sky ID username and password.https://www.sky.com/myaccount/bb-and-talk 
2. Select ‘Disable Shield’
3. Click ‘Save settings.’

4. It may take around 15 minutes before you can view previously blocked websites.

@Ken-23If you have already turned off broadband shield and your issue is still there, then you need to check the speed you are getting to the router.

I had already had the disabled shield in place so will check router settings when I am at the property tomorrow.

I can't get into the router settings page.  I've tried logging in with the router name password, the tried name as Admin and PW from router.  Also tried Sky account UN and password.   Get this message which looks like something would be sent out but no email is received.

@Ken-23  That router is outdated, give Sky a call to request a new one.

Sky Shield does not slow download speeds at all. Whoever told you that is obviously getting fed incorrect information or they need to work on their tech support skills. Sky shield simply blocks or does not block websites depending on what age you set it at.
