Does sky slow broadband at night?

Does sky slow broadband in off peak hours without telling their customers?

Currently barely getting 20mbps over WiFi 2metres from hub. Normally 33-39 and line into the hub close to 50. If the puck was in use requiring 15mbps and further away I don't think it would be viable

@Danno23 No Sky do not slow down broadband at night, though you can occasionally lose connection for a few hours due to maintence.

The speeds that are referred to with broadband connections is always in relation to the wired speed, not WiFi. You pay for the line speed to the router.

If you are getting reduced speed over WiFi at night that suggests some sort of interference, or if you have Sky q, your mini boxes are going into standby meaning your wifi signal could be weaker if you have a larger property.

Re: Does sky slow broadband at night?

Thanks for the reply. Good idea but this was all about the speed to the router. Once noticed over WiFi I always run a sky check for what service I'm receiving into the router
