How are the Q boxes connected? WiFi or ethernet?

How is your PC connected via ethernet? Direct or through powerline/booster etc

Re: Having a problem with bad packet loss in call of duty

Hi, the sky Q boxes are all connected through Ethernet aswell as my pc. At first I did think the game was the reason for it but using my mobile hotspot it removed the experiences I had before but unfortunately the mobile data isn't the greatest.

Hi apologies as I'm not too sure what you mean, I'm not the smartest tool in the shed when it comes to most things. There's normally only one sky box being used when I'm also using my pc, the sky box probably has a family member watching YouTube on that but this also happens when the skybox isn't on. Everything is also connected to Ethernet. Hope this helps!

HI @Neena77

I was basically asking if the ethernet cable goes straight from your Sky hub to your PC or is there something between such as a switch, booster or powerline adapters?

Ahh I see, sorry about that, I do believe so yes, I plug it into my wall and then plug another Ethernet cable in my bedroom into my pc.

@Neena77

I would ask you test two things then to see if there is something local causing the issue.

1. Temporarily connect your PC directly to the hub using an ethernet cable, dont use the wall plates in your home, if you cant temporarily move your PC closer to the Sky hub, then temporarily run a long ethernet cable from the hub to your PC.

2. If the above doesnt fix it, temporarily either unplug all Sky Q boxes or disconnect them from ethernet and use WiFi.

@Neena77 Asked for the removal on post 7 and you where quick to come back saying you had done all that. But it is best to be upfront, once you get a semi stable network will be sending a direct speed test to have a look see on the packet loss side, but really looking very network sided and to what / how you have done it all!

Re: Having a problem with bad packet loss in call of duty

Hello, yes I did disconnect everything else to see if that was the problem before hand, but yes I can do this too when I'm back from work, from my understanding you want me to disconnect all other connections and run a speed test? Just want to do everything as you say to get this sorted asap!

@Neena77 Intensive speed test with lots off returned data for Down/Up and packet loss! you can do a pre and post events to see.
