Have got sky coming round to install broadband, do u physical need a phone on installation day? As haven't got a phone

I'm getting broadband but phone cost is pay as go so haven't brought a phone as won't be using this.

Thank you wasn't sure if physical need it as I know many years ago would need a phone when they come to install
