Getting sky broadband without having a uk address for three years

My friend is moving to UK after many years abroad. He wants a Sky broadband connection. He says that Sky will not allow him to order it without having a UK address for the past three years. Surely it is not beyond the wit of man to arrange this. But computer says no... Is it possible?

Has your friend tried calling Sky to see if they can place the order for him as this appears to be his only option.

As he is just moving over right now, he has only tried on-line. I tried to get the chatbot to either answer or advise someone to call but that's as useful as a chocolate chastity belt... But, yes, I expect that's his next option. Thanks.
