Hi there! I'm due fibre installation tomorrow morning (20/10/2022) but am concerned it will not be going ahead due to the strike action being taken by Openreach. I've had no communication to say it's not happening or that it's being rescheduled but my 'My Orders' section appears to be empty.
This will be the third visit that has failed; the first because the engineer who arrived at the property in August didn't have the correct equipment (needed to put up scaffolding) and the second engineer who visited in September was supposedly not told they needed it. Was hoping for third time lucky this month...but given that we're now 3 months on from the original date of signing up to fibre and with the looming strike, things are looking shakey.
Can anyone help? 😞

Good news! A subcontractor came at 8:30am and completed the installation alone. Now running download speeds of 70.9Mbps (speedtest.net).
Thank you for the advice, guys! This thread can be closed if need be 🙂

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Bob11011 As we are customer here like you we have no insight into your order, as Openreach are on strike tomorrow then the instal won't be going ahead, you need to speak to Sky.

Find out more@Bob11011 I would not be so cerain as not all enginers are striking and many installs are done by third party contractors including Sky's own engineers who are affected. I am waiting on a crew myself this morning so hopefully we both get lucky.
