Drop out.

Every night, same time, same thing Between 9.30 -10pm Between 01.00 01.30am Dropping out for aprox 5-10 minutes, Very annoying and nothing ever gets fixed. Had similar issues in the past which suddenly stopped but here we are again! Maintenance some says, but it seems on the router it always states " Renew IP address " coincidentally.

@Fusky69 renewal of the IP lease is a regular routine background activity that happens regularly ever hour - its how Sky know your hub is connected.

Brief loss of connection around 1 am is quite likely if you have a partial fibre service as that is the time the DLM system will reset the connection to maintain the best balance of stability against speed if conditions requirecan adjustment and is unavoidable. Full fibre lines don't do this.

However a regular loss at 9.30 pm is stange as there are no likely external events which can cause a line drop or reboot at peak times. Faults dont happen to a schedule there is likely to be an explanation for the event happening at a fixed time. Partial fibre connections can be disrupted by electrical interference so consider what else happens in your home when the loss happens. In particular is a large device switching on or off as a dodgy relay sparking can cause line to drop. Other causes can be a Microwave being used if it has a microwave leak or even a faulty fluorescent light. The issue could be outside your home if it is it will likely to affect your neighbours but getting anything done by Openreach is next to impossible these days but improve if lots of people complain to their isps.

To rule out the remote possibility of a faulty hub ask Sky to switch the unit.
