Dell Laptop not connecting to Sky Hub

My Windows 11 Dell laptop used to be able to connect to my Sky hub without any issues until last week. I have a work Dell laptop Windows 10 which connects no problem along with everything else in my home just my personal Dell laptop. It sees it fine and is within 10 metres of the hub but just doesnt connect. It connects fine using a Ethernet cable (Has to go through a door and along a floor) just not using the Wifi, It connects to any other mobile hotspot without an issue so it isnt the laptop Hardware. I have tried manually trying to get it to use IPV4 or 6 but this doesnt work either.

@Dez007 delete the Sky connection on the Dell laptop, and reboot it and add it again. This can happen where tge memory location storing the password gets corrupted.

Re: Dell Laptop not connecting to Sky Hub

@Chrisee Funnily enough after I read your post it had connected randomly although it was extremely slow! I did as you instructed and that hasnt worked as its back to not being able to connect with the usual No Internet, secured flag.

@Dez007 assuming the laptop is not out of range then it is quite weird. If that could be possible testing the connection a few feet from the hub. As it is a Windows 11 machine it should be up to date so not have issues with the WiFi security level or issues with higher 5GHz channels.

Re: Dell Laptop not connecting to Sky Hub

@Chrisee Yes it is a strange one, although it does see the WiFi at 10 feet but just wont connect I did as you suggested and moved it next to the hub in the hall table but yet it wont connect using WiFi. I have a different 1m ethernet cable which I also tried and connects with no issue. What bothers me the most here is the lack of Sky help, considering that this is their hub I have had no help whatsoveer except the usual try rebooting etc so I will be leaving them as a broadband provider due to this and seeking a new provider asap.

Re: Dell Laptop not connecting to Sky Hub

@Dez007 Have a look to see if the win 11 driver was updated or anything else around the period that you started to have problems. You will find it all in the windows update history section area.

Re: Dell Laptop not connecting to Sky Hub

@JimM1 Yes there was an update for Windows 11 last week around that time but why would that affect the Sky hub only and not anything else? Like I said the laptop connects to any other WiFi source except the hub in question.

Re: Dell Laptop not connecting to Sky Hub

@Dez007 If there was a driver update on the dell, there is just something that the dell and the sky hub do not like with each other, tell the wireless wi-fi on the dell to use the older driver and see if that works.

Re: Dell Laptop not connecting to Sky Hub

@JimM1 The Driver wasnt updated at this time but has had a recent update to which the WiFi worked there after until now. Even it had been updated surely that isnt a fix and more a work around? This is purely a SKY HUB issue as it logs in using any other provider so much so the only resolution is to change ISP.

@Dez007 As long as you are out off contract you can do whatever!
