Delayed Again!

This has been ongoing since December 7th 24. am going round in circles! Open Reach have permission to work on underground cabling due to expanding foam stopping me from getting my fibre installed. I have had 3rd party contractors come out twice and tell me what I already know. Open Reach are now advising that they still need permission from a 3rd party, this is potentially the local council. Why are Open Reach not contacting the council?! I am getting frustrated and angry because I am constantly having to call Sky. Open Reach have advised that Sky are not communicating with them, all these delays are affecting my Sky Bills and I just want the matter sorted!

@RedRose71 Openreach install something around 70k full fibre connections every week and occasionally one does get delayed and its bad luck its yours. If your install requires permission from your kocal authority that inevitably adds to the delay as LAs take quite awhile to respond the requests.

There is nothing you or Sky can do to speed this up unfortunately you should be accumulating compensation for delayed providion see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com

Re: Delayed Again!

I've received some compensation from Sky. Although when the contractors came to visit and install the fibre the actual underground cabling does not go on local authority ground, just my neighbours, who have already given permission.
