Contract Termination Request – Service Unavailable at New Address
I am halfway through my 24-month contract and will be moving home in late September. At my new address, Sky services are available but not the package I am contracted to. I have been told I must start a new 24-month contract instead.
This is not acceptable. Sky is unable to provide the service I am paying for, which puts Sky in breach of contract. It is therefore unreasonable to charge me early termination fees.
I am requesting that my contract be closed on my move-out date with no penalties.

@Koala7 Best off luck with that, you need to call sky, posting on the Forum gets you nowhere at all!

In case you’re not aware you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services on here. This is a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to try to help other customers.
What Sky have suggested (starting a new 24 month term) is quite normal but I'm not sure why early termination charges would apply as you are continuing as a Sky Broadband/Talk customer. You will need to contact Sky again to discuss your options.

have been calling them all morning, wasting my entire morning, but it still led nowhere. They told me it’s not an option. I don’t know what to do.

Typically that will depend on whether the national FTTP rollout has reached the new address.

Have you tried to arrange this by cancelling your subscription at your current address and starting a new one at the new address which might be where the problem lies.
Try arranging a Sky Home Move

but it does involve starting a new 24 month discounted deal.

Sorry I don't understand...
What Sky told me is that Sky do not sell Sky Broadband Superfast at my new address. Sky Full Fibre75 is its substitute. Even if it's a switch, I would need to sign another 24-month with them.

@Koala7 Sky would not be in breach of contract, the contract is for a service to one address(that being the address on the contract).
Moving home will almost always involve a new contract for broadband, every time I've moved that has been the case and that's with multiple providers.
