I may well be back tomorrow as I'm taking delivery of an AXE11000 (6e version). I'm not looking forward to it 😕

Normally these wifi routers are the realm of fttp where the vlan id is untagged. I keep on forgetting that even though vlan id is tagged on the modem it also needs dragged into the router and using the iptv option is the most convenient way of acheiving this.  @mae-3 to the rescue again .

 

Next mission should you choose to accept is finding when fttp is coming to your area 👍

@NaNook1971 use the firmware update, backup, restore option and flash to a usb drive in the hope that asus merlin is the same version on both asus

This estate only just got virgin, after 12 years, so god knows with FTTP.

Just a quick update. 

Got the AXE this morning. Put Merlin on, restored config from the AX. Connected straight away. 

Once again, thanks for everyone's help 🙂

 

now to sell the AX!

Just a quick question, to wrap this one up neatly 🙂

 

Plugged directly into the Vigor, with my laptop I can access the web interface using 192.168.2.1.

However, with the ASUS connected, the network is 192.168.1.x.

How do I access the Vigor web interface through the router?

You can't unless you leave a draytek wifi freq open or connect via ethernet

A better way of monitoring the real performance of a broadband line and internet performance is with a SamKnows Whitebox.
