Can't login to my sky router

Hello,

I can't login to my sky router, I can access the Sky Hub router information page using 192.168.0.1 but I cannot access any of the settings.

When I enter the user and password a message pops up saying "your connection to this site is not private"

Then when I click cancel it says:

401 Unauthorised

Authorisation required.

Any advice please?

You would need to click continue through the warning, not cancel

There is no option to click continue, there is only sign in or cancel button, when I click sign in it lets me enter the user and password then I click sign in and it clears the user and password text and I'm back where I started.

Hope that makes sense?

If you're running AV software, try disabling it. Otherwise try another browser .

I only have windows defender, i turned it off and still the same.

Tried edge instead of chrome and still the same.

It seems highly unlikely that you would get exactly the same message from two different browsers, which suggests something else is producing them. I have no such issues with Edge, Chrome or Firefox.

Okay so what do you suggest please?

Try accessing from a browser on a phone or tablet. If that works you know it's nothing odd with the router.

Are you seeing exactly the same message across browsers on the PC & on your phone? If so, can you post a screenshot?

Which router do you have?

I assume that hyperlink has been automatically created by the forum. @pvcpro73 says he can reach the landing/summary page, which he wouldn't be able to do if he was actually using https.

This is the first step

This is me about to click sign in

This is after I click sign in, back to the first step

I'm not sure if related but since I switched from BT to Sky broadband my connection has been different as in when I search google the rersults are limited and it says safe mode is on and I can't turn it off.
