According to the Sky service checker there is no problem and my router is not plugged in!

@Mr_Grey & @Maw101 run the service checker in the My Sky app to check if Sky are aware of the issue already. If not call them and report it firstly to get it fixed but secondly to start the clock for compensation should tge repair take a few days see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com

Finding a phone number to contact Sky Customer Service (pfft!!) has been almost as difficult as trying to report a total broadband and telephone outage online; but I have finally found a number to call!!!
Despite the useless AI assistant repeatedly sending me back to the Sky "Service Checker", and that saying"There are no known service issues in your area", as soon as I ring 0 3 3 3 7 5 9 2 4 8 8 I get a recorded message saying "Hi and welcome to Sky, we're aware of an issue at your local telephone exchange which may affect services on your telephone line. If you are experiencing problems with your broadband or phone, press 1" after pressing 1 I get a message saying"we are working hard to fix this blah blah blah..."
Meanwhile the Sky Service Checker still says everything is fine and dandy... 🤬

So after spending god knows how long trying to report an outage online (you can't) and trying to get any sensible help from the Sky AI Assistant (once again you can't), I have finally found a number to phone Sky Customer Service..*
When I called this I got a recorded message saying "Welcome to Sky, we're aware of an issue at a local telephone exchange which may affect services on your landline, if you are experiencing problems with your broadband or telephone press 1 " and it then says "we are working hard to fix this blah blah blah..."
(* I tried posting the number here, but the forum settings won't let me 🤬)

Note that the recorded message saying "there is a problem at the local telephone exchange" was a reply to a mobile call, so how did they know where I was calling from, and is despite their online"Service Checker " saying everything is fine and dandy...!

I'm down in the south east and not had internet since yesterday. Apparently it's working well in the local area though 🤷♀️

@KlunkerKingUK the same message should now show in the Service Checker saving the need for other customers to call. It takes a finite time for Openreach to tell Sky which lines are impacted especially over a weekend.

GL6 Minchinhampton down. Known issue according to the Sky service checker.

Checker says all fine, except it is not.
Resets don't work as there is no signal.
Annoying really that Sky can say it's all good when it so clearly is not.
