Broadband speed issues

Hi 

we have been using sky since December 2023,and since then the speed is just getting worse ! We have not added any other devices to the WiFi , but it's still not working properly. For example, whenever we decide to watch something on YouTube on tv , it's working 5-10 min , then all of a sudden is not working anymore. We have to reset the internet and still no improvement! 
I need to speak with someone on the phone !

What type of broadband do you have, copper, part fibre or full fibre? 

 

What colour router do you have?

Also having issues with weak internet.  Paying for sky super fast plus over fibre connection but internet speeds are 54 mbps download and 45 mbps upload.   

can't get a phone number to contact sky and when I called yesterday the call cut out when on hold. Really stuck since internet is slow and unreliable and keeps cutting out when I need it most 

 

got black Sky hub 4.2

 

tried resetting router and turning it off and back on.  The sky speed checker doesn't give the same results as online checker like Speedtest.net

I am also having issues with slowness on two PCs but android phones seem ok. Sky Speed Checker saying all ok with av download speed reorded as 143 but other speed checkers all saying download speeds of between 30 - 37. I am on Sky Broadband Ultrafast gauranteeing 100 mps download speed. Can anyone offer an explanation of different speeed check results please.

Sky speed checker is the speed they claim into the property.  Not the speed their old technology WiFi routers can deliver over a wireless connection. 

it's a bit disappointing that had to go out and buy a 3rd party router to get reasonable speeds at home. 
sky told me to purchase an extender on Amazon.
