Broadband installation

Engineer came out on 29/12 as scheduled but said BT needed to complete installation as my other internet provider will disconnect our internet tomorrow we'll be left with no TV or broadband unless the installation is completed today. I have, as yet, had no contact to tell me when BT are going to turn up.

@Pablo1958  What work needs to be done by Openreach to finish your installation?

@Pablo1958  What service is that you are supposed to be getting from Sky? Is it superfast or Ultrafast broadband that you are getting installed?

@Pablo1958

Sometimes installs can be delayed if your install isnt a simple one or unexpected issues crop up like ladder access, cherry picker requirement etc. You'll need to call Sky to get an update from Openreach on when they plan to visit again to do the install. If possible I'd ask your current provider to keep you connected.

Realistically after a succession of named storms it's entirely possible that the limited resources of equipment and trained personnel for overhead work are otherwise occupied on higher priority repairs.

Note in this context it's Openreach, not BT.  While Openreach Ltd remains a division of BT Group, they are required to be operationally independent and specifically no longer use BT branding.
