Sky broadband keeps dropping every few minutes in E6 area East London, this is happening for the past few hours. Very annoying as connection issues stopping me from working.

I spoke to customer services. It went to a call centre in India. The last was very kind but adamant there in jo outage in Slough SL1 area. Apparently a BT engineer will take 48 hours to come 🙄 this is atrocious service from SKY

I wasn't able to copy the number but I used someone's link they shared on page 1 and found it.
I just finished speaking to Sky, the gentleman I spoke to said they don't actually have a time scale on when it will be fixed in all honestly. BT Open Reach haven't updated them with why it's gone down either. So they are escalating each persons case to try and spend up the respond time from BT to them. Ask about compensation aswell, there is also a link being shared on this chat but Sky will text it to you aswell.
Unfortunately I have Sky glass as we've got no working Ariel in our property so no TV aswell.

I'm in SL1 area and no Sky Boradband too. Coming up to 11:30am.

Hey, all of SL1 will be out until further notice.
Sky will be updating all My Sky apps with an update as they come from BT. Nothing you can do unfortunately but wait it out.

Do you know when they'll send engineers out?

Call center in yes Sam here. Absolutely disgraceful

My sky app says no known problems in the area ... let's fix it lol

I am in SL1 area and internet is still down. I have been with sky for the last 10 years it never happened to me but in the last 6 months it is second time. I think it's time to look for alternatives now. Working from home and is very important for me to have an uninterrupted connection.

Maybe a ploy to switch to fibre

@Mnrddy If your working from home and require an uninterupted connection then you need to invest in an appororiate business grade service that has 4 or 5G backup, realistically no domestic service is going to do that without you paying a premuim price on top
@Annoyed12345 Highly unlikely, if you annoy your customer base by causing issues that customer base is not then going to upgrade to a more expensive service with you are they?

Yes, I think I need to look into that option as well. I never thought I will be in this situation. But don't you think other providers are giving better service on domestic connections with a promising uninterrupted connection.

No. All domestic providers (with the exception of Virgin) are reliant on Openreach, just as Sky are. No domestic provider using the Openreach network guarantees 100% availability.
