Broadband cost

My broadband contract is up for renewal and they have given me several options.


could somebody please explain why the faster speed is cheaper. Talking to the agent he could not tell me.

I suspect that's due to wholesale pricing: all ISPs on the Openreach network are buying their bandwidth from someone else and what they can offer is based on what's available to them.  150Mbs is the first of the mainstream Ultrafast bands (the others being 500Mbs and 'Gigabit') while 100Mbs is rather an oddity.
