Broad band essentials and paying for broadband boost

Hi,

I'm on broadband essentials because unfortunately my area doesn't have anything faster at the moment.  I noticed on my bill that I'm also paying for broadband boost.

Is the broad band boost actually of any benefit with only having broadband essentials. When I've read information on sky they only mention it being beneficial and used for faster broadbands.

kind Regards

carol

@Carol1111111111Do you have any boosters in the property to help with this?

@Carol1111111111If you have broadband boost you should have asked Sky for one as you are paying for broadband boost.

@Highlinder

does that mean I don't need to subscribe to broadband boost as I have bought my own boost box and connection.

@Highlinder

Yes, but at times  sky tends to stutter and stall on 3 out of the 4 TV's.

@Carol1111111111Don't know if you have good full coverage around the property. You would have to get Sky come out and do a full check to see if your boosters are in the right place for full coverage.

Re: Broad band essentials and paying for broadband boost

Thanks for your advice @Highlinder
sky have recently been out and sorted a fault! They didn't mention our boosters! Think we will just have to live with it. Doesn't look like we are getting super fast broadband anytime soon. I was just wanting to cancel the booster fee if it wasn't benefiting us.

@Carol1111111111Well you can do that if it is not doing you any benefit at all. Are you sure you are not getting superfast in your area. Can always check using the link below. Fill in the form and submit it, take a screenshot hiding the private information in the top-left and post it and the forum can take a look.
