Add me to the list of people with this problem. Have reset the router, the homepod minis (second gen) tried using manuel dns - nothing has worked since early december.
A device we all invested money in has been rendered useless.
😞

i have same issue and actully my contract finished and im thinking not to extend because i had enaugh with sky

Just seen on the Sky app that my contract has ended.
Will just switch providers in the new year.
19 Dec 2023 07:56 AM
Sky have let me cancel my contract early, all new providers take 2 weeks to activate so I would start the process now.
it's awful how Sky have handled this - no apology to the customers, no recognition of the issue/statement or path forward, and no attempt to roll back the firmware to when it worked.

That's good to know, thank you for the info.
Sky sadly won't feel the loss of a select few but at least we have an exit plan.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreNot sure if anybody affected has tried it but a factory reset on Apple kit often sorts problems. It would be interesting knowing if thst solved this one

I reset the HomePod 3 times no luck!
we need Sky to fix this bug and deliver it to their customers!!!

@Chrisee @I've reset the HomePod dozens of times as well as the router. It doesn't help unfortunately.

All apple devices have been reset already.
Happy to be proven wrong but all evidence point to Sky being the issue and it's clear when something like this does happen, Sky is VERY slow to respond.
19 Dec 2023 11:35 AM
Not that this is the right solution, as Sky should be fixing this, but if people experiencing this issue used a 3rd party router as opposed to the provided Sky Hub would that solve the problem?

It seems like a few have tried this and found success. Which also adds weight to it being an issue with Sky.
But as you say, you shouldn't have to do this. Sky are essentially not providing us with the proper resources or a quick response to remedy the situation.
I fully appreciate these things happen with tech, but their needs to be a quicker, more hands on response. Considering their size and what they charge to each customer - this is pretty rubbish.

I'm having the exact same issue with 2 HomePod minis. Been into Apple Store they reset them to factory settings and connected to store wifi playing fine, get home and exactly the same happens again and can't connect to home WiFi, but my Apple Watch phone iPad and MacBook all can

My 5 HomePod minis are still obviously dead.
This is a really silly reason to have to think about switching broadband providers, but an entirely broken smart home isn't much use at all. 😅

mine are still dead too after 3 weeks... I think someone should notify Apple about the fact that sky is pretty much preventing their customers from buying and using their products.
