I got a 1gb connection installed last week and am using my old router as the engineer said it would be fine. My issue is I'm only getting 80mbs on my phone and my sky glass keeps jittering or losing audio.
both devices are on the same floor and only about 15m away. Any suggestions other than ' move the router' ?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@AllanV1 a lot depends what is in that 15m if its all fresh air there is no problem but throw in a couple of solid internal walls and that would explain the issue. .WiFi speeds depend on the layout and type of construction of your home. The old black SR203 hub can easily offer 600Mb/s in the area near the hub. It is worth making sure the hub is out in the open on a surface so its above obstructions like radiators etc but beyond that it sounds like you need additional kit.
Sky will sell you an add-on called WiFi Max which gets you a new white hub which can offer the full 900Mb/s your new connection can offer in the same room as your hub but speeds will drop in the same way as your current hub as you movecfurther away. The package can offer up to 3 extenders if you cannot get 25Mb/s in every room. Alternativelyyou can buy and use your own WiFi kit as I do myself.
80Mb/s is actually quite a usable speed as few apps can use let alone need more and it should be ample for a Glass TV that can only use 35Mb/s at most. If the Network Test in the Get Help menu of the Netflix app does show 80Mb/s the issue sounds like interference again having an extenderccloser should help with that.
