Um! Some things are better, picture quality for one, other things are woefully inadequate and buggy.
When I say picture I mean stream. Glass not so good.
I'd say stream in its current form is a marmite solution.

@Anonymous
I'd like to give it a try, like you say (marmite) don't think the wife would be like it because of our experience with Glass last year, I know they're the same Stream & Glass but things must've improved in a year!
with Q it acts strange, records 2 of the same program, also you get some stacking of programs you think there are 2 recordings, there are but they're the same episode, also we 've got 4 tiles all showing "Four in a bed" does this a lot

All you can do is try but I think you will find little difference in it now from launch from what I read. Yes some features sorted but still a long way to go 🥺

Thanks I'll leave it for a while, my life wouldn't be worth living if I got stream, the wife records a lot on Q, where as I watch Netflix, Prime video & Apple TV mostly

I love stream and the playlist. When i switched over i was so worried about losing the record option. But having switched i now realise i dont miss record at all . Ive seen how much crap i actually recorded and never watched!! At the end of the day i dont want to keep recorded stuff i may or may not watch 6 months later everything i want to watch is available now to stream and i watch it now so it suits us just fine !!

Even more annoying, I'd agreed £42 a month for ultimate and sports on the phone, but I just checked my bill and they're charging £50 a month.
Another argument upcoming. Presumably they can check the tape...

That's a very interesting point I think that is how the world is kind of working now we want to do things now and at once it's why netflix is so popular.

@Ed.B. Is this on the 18 month option?

Same for me, the wife likes all the old police programs, Morse, Endeavour, Judge John Deed, Doctor Finlay, they're on Really, not sure if that channel is on Stream.
we've got quite a few programs which were recorded in 2021, I doubt she watch them

Stream does have the channel Really but if the channel has the rights to stream to allow you to add them to the playlist I couldn't say.

Looking at all the negative comments on the Playlist, is there any need for it when you can get all the programs you need on Catch Up? What's the point of the Playlist!

The playlist is basically what would be with Q your recordings, but of course they are not recordings in the true sense but a link to the streamed programme.
In essence the playlist is your complete register of programmes you wish to watch. It is supposed to track your selection and provide you with the latest episodes on your play now rail as they become available.
Where it falls apart is:
The Play Now rail often fails to update with the latest episode - frustration
The playlist requires each broadcaster to submit the correct link data for the update to work. Often the link is incorrect and or doesn't arrive until sometimes days after broadcast - frustration
Certain apps don't link correctly at all and are even more hit n miss than the terrestrial broadcasters like Netflix, Prime, Disney, Paramount, Apple. Just cross your fingers and hope the playlist keeps track and pray the newest episode turns up. This is extremely buggy - frustration
Even when the latest episode does appear and you think happy days I'll watch that. Once selected and it takes you to the relevant app then it may still say episode not available - frustration
So, you need a little patience and understanding on how individual apps work to find your program in certain instances. It is most certainly not click and play despite what the Sky glossy videos show you - frustration
At least with Q recordings in the true sense record and if you want to catch up or demand and download the program you are guaranteed it's in your recording list.
Occasionally programs turn up in the Playlist that you have not even selected in your watchlist not worked this one out - frustration
Removing a program is a farce, the only way is to watch it or fast forward to the end of the program for it to remove, crazy have a watched option - frustration
So.
The chance of missing a program from your playlist- fairly high
The chance of missing a Q recording- fairly low
The playlist is a main feature of Stream and now 12 months in is not fully fit for purpose - frustration frustration frustration.

Can i ask if you have cancelled stream yet ? And gone back to Q ?.

Not yet but close 🤔
I'm trying to battle on, the other half wants to place it in the bonfire on Nov 5th with a glass of fizz to celebrate its demise 👎
Sky have placed my account on hold so even if I go over the 31 days they assured me I can still revert to Q as I have issues they have failed to resolve.
Truth is based on my conversations with Sky they know its not match ready and are on then ice. The more product now hitting customers homes the more issues to resolve. It could become a nightmare scenario for Sky.
Ondigital all over again 🥺😉

Has anyone managed to get their Samsung smart remote to control the puck?
The TV only seems to have Sky Q or Sky SD options, so it only seems to allow you to select home. If you try to select 'recordings' it just hangs saying 'please wait'. I had vaguely hoped it would go to playlist.
I can't control any of the puck functions with the Samsung remote either - with Q you could play, pause fast forward and rewind etc.
