So has anyone currently with Q already phoned up and got a Sky Stream puck delivered & activated?
I'm curious to know how Sky have been dealing with it in this soft launch period, particularly as customers seem to be being charged quite widely varying costs compared to what was stated in Sky's initial press release.
Has anyone who is mid-contract on Q been offered and accepted a Sky Stream puck? If so, have you had to agree to an 18 month contract on Sky Stream? Did your Q service stop immediately after puck activation?

LOL. You've sussed me @Jporch316 !
Truth be told - it's only so I can get rid of my TV contract completely much sooner! In an ideal world I want the Q box gone - have a Stream puck for a month, then dump the whole lot.
I'm curious to see if I can do that with 7 or 8 months left on my Q contract...

Yeah I know that, but I want to know if it's possible whilst mid-Q contract, without signing up to 18 months of Stream... A month will be more than adequate.
I really can't be bothered to phone them and ask. 😁

@fizzdisco We've seen or heard nothing to suggest that the process of switching mid contract will be any different
their appears from the press release two options a rolling contract and 18 months
rolling option is dearer subs wise than contract option

The 3 month free offer is just currently on Glass - there's no online option to purchase just a Stream puck yet.
I'd be more than happy to pay for a month - just so I can experience the full Sky Stream service in all its glory in my own home! Then just use the puck as a coaster on my desk, or a little platform for my Apple TV 4K box to sit on... 😎
@SKY1992bf I've seen something which stated that people switching from Q mid-contract could only do so if they signed up for 18 months... I'm thinking that the systems to necessitate this are probably not up and running correctly yet... so I may try my luck!

Wish I could send the tv and the pucks all back as not what it was meant to be ,

I'm having 2 pucks delivered tomorrow, after having had Q since it was released I hope its the right move. I have rock solid internet (BT Full Fibre FTTP) and streaming on other devices is flawless. Anyway fingers crossed 🤞

I've moved to stream (£30 per month instead of £54.99 for q) the sign up process from a cost perspective can be a bit of a mishmash, I assume this is because we're in soft launch, I wasn't offered an 18 month contract, not that I would as I want complete control and prefer the 31 day rolling
@fizzdisco I had 15 months left on my
contract and I can confirm I have been released from it with no fuss. The only thing to watch out for is the double charges for old and new contracts on the first month and then the subsequent re-credit to your account.

@fizzdisco your post should be the first question in a new Sky TV discussion area menu called Sky stream..
The question has been asked..

If you’re already under contract with Sky Q, you can’t, unfortunately, break the contract and switch to Sky Stream’s 31-day rolling contract.
However, Sky Q customers who are currently in an 18-month contract can opt to start a new 18-month contract with Stream, in place of their Sky Q contract.
