It does appear to be resolving itself so hopefully everyone can get back to watching their Glass setups 🙂

was a right bugger getting it off the wall and me old tele up and connecting it up just to watch freeview.
just so confusing to me that only the glass went down. ( I'm not tech minded at all as I'm and old bugger)

I'm a Virgin broadband customer and my Glass connection went off about half an hour ago.
Luckily I still have my Sky Q box so plugged it into the Glass box but this is unable to connect to the internet too.
Is it worth getting a router set up tomorrow and switching Hub 3 into modem mode?

Only works for sky Q.
I don't have glass but have Q and had exactly the same problems this morning with VM hub i.e. connected to hub but no connection to internet (have always used ethernet and no problems for a year). Anyway based on a suggestion I had seen a while ago, in Q terms I went into network settings and changed the DNS server manually to 1.1.1.1 and everything sprang to life. As I say I don't know how glass works regarding network but the symptoms are remarkably similar...if you can change settings manually then it is at your own risk of course

Thanks for this tip. Tried setting DNS to all the 1s on the Q box and all okay.
sadly you can't get to these settings on Glass. Ho hum!

@Jayboy1990 Whilst you are of course correct, it highlights a frailty of Glass to me. So tempted to get it as I love my tech, but lurking on this forum has put me off.

@PeteSafc lurking in any support forum gives a pretty bad impression of any product as modt oeople come here when they have an issue. Glass is new and there are glitches it was exactly the same when Q launched - I was an earlly adopter of that as well!.
If you are reasonably tech savy you should be fine but it is vital that Glass and the pucks have avery good connection back to your router and the internet connection can support the speeds required.which are 25Mb/s per UHD stream and 10Mb/s for HD. Glass is only as good as its connection to the servers.

Sky Q box wouldn't connect to the internet yesterday but overnight came back on. Virgin media hub 4.

mine connected this morning but new glass coming Saturday now anyway.

I have a similar problem - every morning skyglass says there's an issue sign my internet connection (there isn't) and that it's connected to the router but the internet is down (it's wired via Ethernet). A restart of the router solves it but very annoying. 3 days in a row now - any ideas anyone?

as in November sky had problom with virgin any one got a virgin hub that works ok with sky glass thankyou

@Edd+green things have moved on as witnessed by the lack of further posts. There is no technical reasons why Glass wont work with most any router including Virgin hubs. However nobody will give you a 100% guarantee as systems differ.

Over the past few weeks I've had issues with dropouts on both wired and wireless connections. I'm trying to establish whether Sky or Virgin Media Business (my ISP) are behind the problems, up until recently it was working well.
Does anyone know, or know where I can get, one or more public IP addresses/ FQDNs of the Sky Glass servers that I can set up a smokeping test against?
